We care about and want ALL team members to feel like they belong!\nOne year or more experience driving a 20-26 foot truck, (DOT certification preferred but not required) and the ability to pass a DHS background check is a must to meet the minimal requirements.\nSafely transport persons served and any cargo to and from job sites. Drivers will ensure safety and compliance with all rules and regulations both state and federal.\nIn this position you can expect to: (not an all inclusive list)\nFollow delivery and pick-up schedules assigned by Fleet Manager/Scheduler.\nLoad, transport and deliver items to clients or businesses in a safe and timely manner.\nReview orders before and after delivery / pickup to ensure that the order is complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.\nAssist with loading and unloading items from vehicles.\nOperate dock truck and/or cargo van safely and lawfully.\nComplete courier deliveries and weekly materials order pick-ups.\nTransport persons served following all safe transportation rules and individual transferring and handling protocols for each person.\nAssist in morning and afternoon routes and during outings and activites (cargo van or 12-and-2 bus).\nPerform small cleanouts or assist Facility Manager with ocasional large cleanouts.\nComplete daily vehicle inspections and accurate documentation; report issues to Facility Manager.\nMust complete all assigned and required annual D.E.S (Day and Employment Services) training on time and as assigned.\nOther duties as assigned .\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMust be 18 years or older\nHave a HS diploma or equivalent.\nMust have a valid driver's license, valid insurance and a good driving record showing no incidences, accidents, DWI/DUI within the past three years.\nDOT certified preferred or have the ability to pass DOT certification as this position does include outings and transporting of individuals.\nPrefer former experience in truck driving, warehouse and/or courier.\nMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and push-pull up to 90 pounds on a regular basis with no lifting restrictions.\nMeet the criteria and pass a DHS background check.\nAbility to pass and maintain required training for DHS compliance such as CPR/First aid.\nBe effective in oral and written communications within all levels of the organization and ensure confidentiality is maintained.\nComply with the safety and health program demonstrating preventative actions promoting a safe and healthy work place.\nComply with AAI attendance policy.\nAccessAbility Inc. values diversity, inclusion and belonging and we are committed to building a team representative of a variety of experiences, cultures, backgrounds, and skills.
