{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"fa0df8f959a2e9d60fafac5c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/fa0df8f959a2e9d60fafac5c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/fa0df8f959a2e9d60fafac5c","title":"Blending Operator","description":"Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nMust understand Nitrogen blanketing, purging and drying process.\nMust understand sampling procedure (railcar, truck and tank)\nLearn basic product identification\nProper hose section, cleaning and storage\nMust understand the dry air system\nMust be able to apply steam to railcars, trucks, tanks and pumps in a safe manner.\nPerform plant cleanup standards tasks during and at the end of an operation or workday.\nFollow all blend formulations and ensure all components are accurately formulated in the blender.\nDocument all final blends including date, time, blender name, components, location, weight, and operator completing the blend form.\nDaily communication with supervisor for any concerns regarding equipment or operations.\nEnsure tracks are clear, assist on all switches.\nPull all incoming/outgoing samples for lab analysis.\nEnsure proper seals are in place for all loaded railcars.\nFollow proper procedures for loading bulk trucks, including the inspection of proper connections, operations, and AX system (Dynamics) completion.\nComplete transloading operations per work order, including proper hose connections between railcars.\nWork in a safe manner and follow all company rules and policies concerning safety and PPE.\nEnsure that you have a productive, safe, clean, and efficient work environment.\nConduct visual checks of machinery and escalate any issues to appropriate management or maintenance.\nAdhere to all internal Standard Operating Procedures\nPerform any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/ Lead.\nExhibits and practices the Third Coast Way fundamental behaviors\nKnowledge and Skills:\nHigh School Graduate or GED desired but not required.\nWork Experience:\nMinimum of 6 months blending experience\nSkills and Competencies:\nHave general knowledge of plant safety rules\nMust be forklift certified\nBe ready and willing to receive standard training\nMust be able to read and interpret an SDS.\nMust be able to read and process an order in an adequate time.\nKnowledge of our quality policy and objectives.\nMinimum 6 months of experience in handling bulk tanker trucks, railcars, ISO containers and/or blending environment.\nGood math, language, and reading skills.\nPositive attitude and ability to work well with others.\nAble to follow instructions.\nKnowledge of proper PPE requirements.\nFunctional knowledge of handling rail cars and troubleshooting skills.\nBasic computer skills may be required.\nBe ready and willing to receive standard training.\nAbility to read tape measures for tank gauging purposes.\nPhysical Requirements\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to use their hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.\nThe team member frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch.\nThe team member is occasionally required to sit.\nThe team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift 25 pounds and occasionally move or manipulate drums weighing between 200400 pounds.\nAbout Third Coast\nJoin the Team Behind the Industry’s Leading Chemical Service Provider.
