In this role, you will develop and deploy manufacturing test solutions for industry-leading GPUs used in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and High-Performance Computing (HPC) applications.\n\nWorking at our manufacturing site, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and manufacturing partners to deliver scalable test strategies, automation, validation infrastructure, and product improvements. Your contributions will directly impact product quality, manufacturing yield, cost, and production efficiency.\n\nTHE PERSON:\n\nThe ideal candidate is a hands-on test engineer with experience in data center system-level testing, hardware and software debug, and manufacturing test development. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.\n\nYou are comfortable working independently and across geographically distributed engineering and manufacturing teams. You bring a strong interest in GPU hardware and AI, ML, and HPC technologies, along with deep familiarity with Linux environments and computer hardware validation.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\nDevelop manufacturing test strategies for new product features, including the identification, specification, design, and qualification of test fixtures, equipment, and diagnostic software.\nDefine scalable board- and system-level hardware test solutions, methodologies, and manufacturing processes.\nReview product designs during early development stages and provide Design for Testability (DFT) recommendations.\nDevelop test content, diagnostic tools, and automation solutions using Python and other scripting languages.\nContribute to automated diagnostic generation and validation infrastructure.\nDebug complex hardware, software, device, and manufacturing issues during product build and production phases.\nPartner with cross-functional stakeholders and manufacturing partners to improve yield, reduce cost, increase test efficiency, and resolve quality issues.\nEvaluate and introduce new manufacturing test technologies, tools, and methodologies.\nLead the resolution of complex, novel, and non-recurring technical problems, including significant improvements to existing processes and methods.\nBuild and maintain effective working relationships across geographically distributed Product Engineering, Design, Validation, and Manufacturing teams.\nProvide technical leadership, influence engineering decisions, and mentor junior engineers as needed.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE:\nProven experience developing and supporting manufacturing test programs for board- or system-level products.\nStrong data center system test, hardware validation, and debug experience.\nProficiency with Python programming and Bash or shell scripting.\nExperience developing test patterns, vectors, timing, diagnostics, or related manufacturing test content.\nExperience debugging issues across hardware, software, device, and manufacturing domains.\nStrong working knowledge of Linux or UNIX operating systems.\nSolid knowledge of IPMI, PCIe, BMC, and thermal solutions.\nExperience with additional scripting languages such as Perl or Ruby.\nProgramming experience with C, C++, C#, or Java.\nExperience with version-control systems such as Git, SVN, CVS, or RCS.\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban; Scrum Master or Product Owner experience is a plus.\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with geographically distributed engineering and manufacturing teams.\nExcellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience driving manufacturing yield, quality, cost, or test-efficiency improvements.\nRelevant board-, system-, or platform-level test engineering experience.\nACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:\nBachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.\n\nThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.\n\n#LI-CJ2\n\nQualifications:\n\nBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.\n\nAMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
