Automotive Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including GM vehicles. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Candidates with dealership experience, expertise in automotive electrical systems, transmissions, powertrain, and diesel engine repair are highly preferred. The technician will utilize advanced tools and diagnostic equipment to deliver high-quality service to our customers in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and electrical testing equipment Conduct repairs on various systems including engine, transmission, powertrain, electrical systems, and diesel engines Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and alignments Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive service tools efficiently and safely Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues Repair or replace components such as transmissions, ADAS systems, and other vehicle parts as needed Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards Maintain detailed records of work performed using auto estimating software Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations Experience Dealership experience or service technician experience preferred Proven knowledge of automotive electrical systems, ADAS technology, powertrain components, and transmissions Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance including diesel engine repair and wheel alignments Skilled in using schematics for diagnostics and repairs Familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus Experience with auto estimating software is desirable Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This position offers an opportunity for professional growth within a reputable automotive service center.
