This role is responsible for assisting in the design and analysis of network models, validating simulation scenarios, and contributing to the evaluation of system performance in representative operational environments. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the individual will help translate technical requirements into simulation inputs, analyze results, and document findings to support system development, testing, and decision-making processes. This position provides foundational experience in modeling complex systems, network behavior, and simulation methodologies within a collaborative engineering team.Core Functions / Job DuitesAbility to perform the following, with some supervision:Contributes to the design, development, and implementation of complex systems using advanced modeling techniques.Translate customer requirements into actionable digital models.Create and manage system models using MBSE tools to represent requirements, architecture, behavior, and verification processes.Analyze and decompose system requirements into functional and performance specifications within a model-based framework.Conduct model verification activities using real-world data to ensure system performance aligns with requirements.Work with senior members of engineering teams to address technical challenges.Support technical evaluations, development activities, and mission needs.Skills & AbilitiesBasic knowledge of the following:Systems engineering principles with MBSE toolsSysML methodology for system modelingRisk management tools and processes for complex systemsStandard computer-based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONSBS STEM Degree RequiredTYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS General office environmentComputer/Equipment labPhysical RequirementsMay be expected to lift up to 25 lbsFrequent use of keyboard and typingFrequent sitting and standingWORK SCHEDULE9/80The ability to work non-standard work hours and schedules in support of project requirements.PAY RANGE$80,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually, DOEU.S. Citizenship Is RequiredSECURITY CLEARANCECandidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score).
