Other related duties may be assigned.\nWork in full compliance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA regulations, and all local, state, and federal requirements.\nImmediately report any unsafe conditions, service issues, or hazards to the Route Manager or Dispatch.\nAttend and actively participate in all required training programs, safety briefings, and team meetings.\nManually or mechanically load and empty residential and/or commercial containers into the collection truck.\nAssist with staging containers curbside, dockside, or in carryout/pullout situations to complete service.\nOperate or assist with operating hoisting devices to lift and empty bins into the truck hopper.\nServe as a spotter and assist the driver during all backing maneuvers.\nNotify the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.\nReport service interruptions (e.g., closed roads, blocked access, overweight containers, or safety hazards) to the Route Manager or Dispatch.\nCommunicate customer requests or service concerns promptly to Dispatch or the Route Manager.\nPerform all assigned duties as scheduled and assist other routes or drivers as directed to meet operational needs.\nQualifications\nMinimum Requirements:\nLess than 1 year of prior experience in the field.\nMust be at least 18 years of age.\nMust be legally eligible to work in the United States.\nMust successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check (including employment and criminal history).\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.\nPreferred:\nAbility to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).\nWork Environment & Physical Requirements\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.\nFrequent use of motor coordination and dexterity (arms, hands, legs, and fingers).\nFrequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting with objects over 25 lbs; must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.\nWork performed outdoors and/or riding in a GPS- and video-monitored vehicle.\nFrequent exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, and other environmental conditions.\nPhysical demands may vary depending on site and route assignments.\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nDependable and ready to work early morning shifts.\nAbility to lift up to 75 lbs and move on your feet for extended periods.\nEnjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions.\nTeam player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.\nPrior experience in general labor, warehouse, construction, or landscaping is a plus—but not required.\nMust pass a background check and drug screening.\nThe Work Environment:\nOutdoor work in neighborhoods, business parks, or industrial areas.\nFast-moving team-based environment—safety and communication are key.\nPPE (personal protective equipment) is provided.\nApply Today – Be Part of the Team That Keeps Cities Running\nWe’re hiring immediately for dependable individuals who take pride in their work.
