Additionally, at Sequel, we're looking for people with an entrepreneurial spirit with a constant eye for continuous improvement in all aspects of their job.\nStarting pay begins at $20.00 per hour, with higher rates available for candidates who bring relevant experience.\nReporting to the Plant Manager, the Night Shift-Insulating Operator will oversee the operation of Sequel's insulating extrusion equipment, PVC and/or CV, in the most efficient manner possible by performing set-ups, operating machinery, and monitoring the process at all times.\nEssential Job Functions:\nRead and comprehend production work orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nUse overhead cranes and forklift to move materials.\nComplete and record quality testing.\nComplete all required paperwork.\nOperate and maintain machinery and equipment.\nAdhere to all safety procedures.\nMaintain a clean work area.\nUse a computer to enter production information and generate labels.\nMeet all production and quality goals and standards.\nSkills and Abilities\nAbility to work in a team-oriented environment.\nWorking knowledge of computers.\nForklift driving experience desired, training provided.\nUse of overhead cranes desired, training provided.\nKnowledge of wire and cable manufacturing processes is a plus.\nUnderstand and adhere to ISO certification requirements.\nAbility to work overtime.\nAbility to work weekends.\nStrong attention to detail.\nQualifications\nHigh School diploma, GED or equivalent.\nPrevious manufacturing experience- wire and cable manufacturing is a plus.\nAbility to read and understand work orders and product specifications.\nComputer experience is desired.\nWork Environment\nThe essential functions of this job require working within a production facility with exposure to various noise levels from machinery and equipment.\nPhysical Demands\nThis is an active role as the employee will work in a manufacturing environment. While performing the essential functions of the job the employee will be required to stand, balance or walk on a consistent basis during a 12-hour shift and may on a frequent basis be required to twist, turn, stoop, squat, kneel, bend or reach. The employee must use safe lifting techniques when lifting objects up to 50 pounds and carry out repetitive hand/wrist movements to include forearm rotation. Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to listen and speak and use their hands to operate equipment.\nWork Schedule\nOur facility operates 24/7. Qualified candidates must be able to work a flexible/rotating work schedule, including weekends, and cover overtime as needed.
