School Speech and Language Pathologist | Mechanicsville, Maryland

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in the Mechanicsville, MD area. This contract role supports students from kindergarten through 12th grade and requires onsite presence. There are two openings with a full-time workload of 37.5 hours per week for the 2026-2027 school year, running from August 10, 2026, through June 17, 2027. Key Responsibilities: Provide speech and language evaluations, therapy, and support to students aged K-12. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families. Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation. Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license is required. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred. Experience working as an SLP in a school setting. Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders. Ability to work effectively with children across a wide age range. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
