Human Resources Manager

Position Type: Administration/Director Date Posted: 5/26/2026 Location: District Administration Closing Date: 06/13/2026 Job Summary: As an Administrator for the District, the Human Resources Manager oversees all personnel and human resources operations including recruitment and hiring, onboarding, compensation and benefits, contracting and licensing, offboarding, substitutes and substitute procedures, and legal compliance (employee handbooks, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, employment terminations including retirement). Key Responsibilities Human Resources Duties:Provide direction, support and supervision of Human Resources functionsIn coordination with the Superintendent and Business Manager, provide oversight of the policies and update and enforce these when necessaryDevelop and administer an employee handbook to reflect district policies and proceduresWork with the Leadership team and/or Board to prepare staffing recommendations, including assignments, layoff/non-renewals, contracts, promotions, terminations, retirements, and supplemental contractsDevelop, implement, and administer a compensation program and structure in conjunction with district leadershipWork with an insurance broker to offer competitive insurance and benefits, including wellnessWork with the leadership team to develop a system to monitor and improve employee engagement and district cultureIn coordination with leadership, develop a system of recruitment to assist with hiring qualified employees for the districtRevamp and update job descriptions to reflect appropriate responsibilities in each jobCreate and maintain a hiring process, including job postings, applicant tracking, communication, and pre-employment/background checksSupport district and building leaders with the interview and hiring processProvide instruction and support in developing and administering an onboarding and offboarding program.In conjunction with the contracted agency, maintain substitute teachers as it relates to compensation, assignments, personnel concerns, etc.Responsible for the preparation of the annual WISEstaff reportCreate and implement an evaluation system/structure to evaluate employee performanceCreate a process of improvement plans, written warnings, and discipline as neededIn coordination with district leadership, plan district in-services and mandatory employee trainingsMaintain a system for contracting for administrators, professional teachers, and providing reasonable assurance to support staff.Maintain a system for employee licensingMaintain a system for all employee leave, including FMLA and other medical leaveManage all Worker's compensation claims, audits and reportingSeek legal counsel to ensure legal compliance and laws are followed in various situations Leadership ResponsibilitiesAttend and participate in leadership meetings to help provide directionProvide HR expertise to the leadership team to ensure legal compliance within the districtEnsure Leadership is up-to-date and kept current with HR initiatives, seeking guidance when appropriate All responsibilities are carried out with a focus on student success, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
