You’ll work across data science, AI, and analytics while partnering with technical teams and business stakeholders to solve complex problems and deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.\n\nWhat You'll Do….\n\nEnable an AI-First, Spec-Driven Development Model\n\nDevelop clear, testable specifications, acceptance criteria, and architectural guidelines that enable AI coding agents to generate reliable code.\nLeverage AI coding agents, reusable prompts, and repository conventions to streamline development workflows.\nEstablish quality controls for AI-generated code, including automated testing, security scanning, and static analysis.\nEvaluate emerging AI tools and practices, including agentic workflows, MCP integrations, and evaluation frameworks.\n\nBuild and Optimize CI/CD Pipelines\n\nDesign and maintain CI/CD pipelines and environment automation on GCP, enabling frequent, independent production deployments.\nReplace manual deployment processes with self-service tools, reusable templates, and standardized workflows.\nImplement observability, feature flags, and automated rollback capabilities to ensure safe, reliable deployments.\n\nDevelop Backend Services and Data Solutions\n\nBuild and maintain production-grade Python services and secure, versioned APIs.\nDesign scalable data models using BigQuery and PostgreSQL.\nDevelop and optimize data and machine learning pipelines in collaboration with data scientists.\nSupport AI-driven applications and evolving product requirements through scalable backend solutions.\n\nYou’ll have….\n\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\n6+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, or software engineering.\n3+ years of experience building and operating cloud-based workloads, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nExperience developing data pipelines, analytical solutions, and CI/CD processes.\nStrong Python programming skills and experience with modern data science tools and frameworks.\nHands-on experience with AI coding agents and validating AI-generated outputs.\nSolid data modeling skills and experience with BigQuery and analytical workloads.\nFamiliarity with Git, cloud infrastructure, observability, and performance optimization.\nWorking knowledge of front-end or full-stack development.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and coach others.\nAn automation mindset focused on improving efficiency and scalability.\nCuriosity about the business and the ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.\n\nEven Better, You May Have...\n\nExperience with spec-driven or AI-assisted development practices.\nGCP certifications in Data Engineering, Cloud Development, or DevOps.\nExperience in platform engineering, developer experience, or DORA metrics.\nBackground in automotive, manufacturing, or product-cost analytics.\n\nYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!\n\nAs an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
