This role requires a proactive problem-solver who enjoys working directly with end users, thrives on variety, and is excited about delivering excellent support in the healthcare industry.\n\nResponsibilities\nCore Systems Administration & Support\nServe as the escalation point for the Level 1 Service Desk, including client communication and hands-on technical troubleshooting.\nManage Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and user access.\nPerform Request and Incident Management processes within Service Level expectations (priority and escalation norms) using Service Management tools.\nProvide comprehensive Tier 2 desktop support (Windows and Mac), resolving escalated helpdesk issues remotely and onsite.\nNetworking & Security\nApply networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and NAT) to troubleshoot end-user connectivity and support simple network configurations.\nSupport secure remote access, TLS/SSL encryption, MFA, and other security best practices.\nAssist with endpoint security configurations, applying basic security and wireless concepts.\nAutomation, Monitoring, and Tools\nUse scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell) to automate repeatable tasks and improve operational efficiency.\nManage device configurations using MDM tools like Intune, Automate, and NinjaOne.\nMaintain system updates and security patches across desktop and endpoint environments.\nClient-Facing Field Support\nTravel to client sites for scheduled support, installations, and issue resolution.\nAct as a trusted technical advisor to clients, identifying opportunities to optimize and improve their IT environments.\nDocument solutions, procedures, and systems clearly and consistently in our knowledge base.\nQualifications\nRequired Skills\n5+ years of experience in desktop support or Tier 2 IT support\nStrong working knowledge of:\nActive Directory (basic administration)\nMicrosoft 365 administration\nWindows 10/11 desktop environments\nDesktop support (Windows and Mac)\nNetworking fundamentals: TCP/IP, IP addressing, NAT, DHCP/DNS\nMobile Device Management (Intune or similar)\nScripting (PowerShell preferred)\nSaaS phone systems (e.g., Teams Business Voice) and basic audio/visual support\nPreferred Skills\nExperience working with an MSP or in client-facing IT support roles\nExposure to healthcare IT (EHR/EMR systems, HIPAA, HITRUST)\nCompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certifications a plus\nSoft Skills\nExcellent verbal and written communication\nStrong troubleshooting and time management\nSelf-motivated with a service-oriented mindset\nComfortable working independently or collaboratively\nLocation & Work Environment\n\nThis is a full-time, primarily remote position, with on-site client support in the Mobile, AL metro area. Occasional travel outside the region may be required for client visits or team gatherings.
