At Healtop Healthcare, we believe in empowering our team to create meaningful impacts in the lives of those we serve.Role DescriptionThis is a part-time hybrid role for a Substance Abuse Counselor, based in Richlands, VA, with partial work-from-home flexibility. The Substance Abuse Counselor will provide individual and group counseling, develop personalized treatment plans, oversee case management activities, and assist clients in identifying triggers and developing relapse prevention strategies. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with mental health professionals, maintaining accurate client records, and guiding clients toward achieving their recovery goals in a safe and supportive environment.QualificationsDemonstrated experience in Treatment Planning and Case Management to create and execute individualized care plans for clients.Proficiency in Chemical Dependency and Relapse Prevention to address addiction issues and support long-term recovery efforts.Understanding of Mental Health conditions and their intersection with substance abuse.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.Empathy, active listening, and cultural sensitivity to provide client-focused care.Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (preferred).Licensure or certification relevant to substance abuse counseling (e.g., CADC, LCAS, LPC) is strongly preferred.Experience in a behavioral health or substance abuse treatment setting is a plus.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability.
