The Lead Carpenter will work closely with our project teams to execute high-quality carpentry work, from rough framing to detailed finish work, while ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to project timelines. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of craftsmanship and sustainable building practices.\nKey Responsibilities:\nProject Execution: Perform hands-on carpentry work, including framing, siding, roofing, installation of doors and windows, and finish carpentry on residential and prefabricated building projects.\nTeam Leadership: Supervise and work alongside a team of carpenters and apprentices, ensuring that work is completed to high standards of craftsmanship and within project timelines.\nCollaboration and Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and designers to ensure alignment with project plans and design specifications. Communicate daily with other team members to coordinate tasks and site activities. This is especially important because we are a fully integrated design and build firm.\nSite Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, including OSHA standards. Monitor the job site for safety hazards and take immediate action to address any issues.\nQuality Control: Review work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to CedarStone’s standards of craftsmanship. Conduct regular inspections of ongoing work to ensure excellence.\nMaterials and Tools Management: Order materials and ensure tools are maintained in good working condition. Track inventory and supplies, and manage project materials to minimize waste and ensure efficient use.\nProblem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot challenges that arise on-site, working with team members to find effective and timely solutions.\nClient Interaction: Occasionally meet with clients to discuss project progress and ensure satisfaction with the work being completed.\nExperience and Education Requirements:\nExperience: At least five years of carpentry experience, with at least two years in a lead or supervisory role. Experience with both rough and finish carpentry is required.\nKnowledge: Understanding of building science principles and sustainable construction techniques is a plus.
