Read on to learn how this opportunity can contribute to our purpose while helping shape the future of food.\nROLE PURPOSE:\nThe Process Control Engineer, as part of the Project Engineering department at the Tate and Lyle Okmulgee facility, will interface with a diverse team of personnel such as manufacturing plant operations and technical/engineering (Safety, Instrumentation, manufacturing process experts, applications engineers, etc.). This position will help install, maintain, support, and improve site process controls assets and systems. Responsible for quality and food safety within their realm of control.\nLevel 2 - Important Role:\nDrive EHSQ excellence culture and improvements in area of responsibility\nEHSQMS Element owner support\nFocus on EHSQ systems, policies, procedures, and their effects on day-to-day operations\nAudit and review EHSQ effectiveness in area\nAll employees are responsible for:\nCompliance with procedures that implement the requirements of the EHSQ policies and procedures\nBeing responsible for their own actions\nCarrying out their work in a manner which does not present a risk to themselves, others, and the environment\nReporting all incidents, defects, hazards, and inadequacies of procedures so that appropriate review and corrective action can be taken.\nSuggesting improvements and being active in the general improvement of all systems and methods of work to ensure EHSQ supports activities and services are carried out in a safe, environmentally responsible, reliable, and cost-effective manner.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nConfers with operators, supervisors and engineers to elicit known requirements of the business and suggests previously unconsidered improvements for evaluation.\nMeets with engineering team to define and implement process control and instrumentation projects\nProvide technical and operational expertise for the day-to-day support of the process control systems and infrastructure\nInterface with vendors and area personnel to assist in purchasing and deployment of solutions.\nInterface with outside consultants, engineering, company process control specialists, and area personnel to coordinate development and deployment of custom solutions.\nTroubleshoot control systems hardware and software failures for Delta V and Microsoft systems\nParticipate in projects to replace servers, develop new networks, and improve control system sustainability\nComply with all Tate and Lyle standards, such as Process Control Practices, documentation, Management of Change, and design review procedures.\nAbility to respond, via telephone mainly and occasionally in person, to off-hour callouts and requests for support.\nAssist E&I technicians to resolve issues related to automation and control systems.\nTechnically support operations and capital projects in the operation, modification and maintenance of all HMI, control system, control system components and sub-systems.\nAll duties to be performed in accordance with Tate and Lyle’s environmental, safety and health guidelines for a PSM facility.\nSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent technical discipline is required.\n0 – 3 years of working knowledge of DCS and PLC based process control systems.\nApplicant must be a self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills required to be on call to provide plant support during off hours and weekends.\nDemonstrating high levels of integrity, thoroughness, creativity, flexibility, initiative, and productive, collaborative teamwork.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal communication skills\nAbility to independently direct & prioritize one’s own work.\nAbility to plan, prioritize, and execute controls projects effectively.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under various deadlines.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze complex data, draw conclusions and then develop and execute problem solutions.\nExperience with Delta V, Allen Bradley and PI systems is desirable.\nTate & Lyle complies with all local/state regulations requiring salary range transparency.\nWhen determining final compensation, we take into consideration: skillset, job scope, knowledge, prior experience, cost of living, market data, budget availability, and other factors as permitted by law.\nThe salary range for this position is: $71,000 - $104,000.\nIn addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes but is not limited to:\nMedical, Dental, Vision coverages\nPaid time off package, including vacation, sick time, and 16 weeks of paid parental leave\n401K with company match\nCompany paid life insurance\nAdditional benefits at not cost to employee such as: Lifestyle Spending Account, Identity Theft protection, Employee Assistance Program, telemedicine and more!\nIn addition to your Total Rewards, culture and ED&I are very important to Tate & Lyle.
