Ticket Agent

Come join our team at Seldovia Bay Ferry (SBF)! This position is based in Homer on Homer Spit. Hours: Part-time, schedule will be determined by ferry service hours. Approximately 3-4 hours per day (1 1/2 to 2 hours in the morning and 1 1/2 to 2 hours in the afternoon/evening). Up to 6 days a week available in May, June, August, and September and up to 7 days per week available in July. Salary Range: $16+ per hour DOE What You'll Do:Sell tickets to SBF passengers, provide customer assistance by phone or in personInteract directly with our customersRepresent SBF's professional and positive image at all timesGreet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous mannerAssist with special requests and planning suggestions for customers.Manage cash till, reconcile sales receipts, and drop offRepresent SBF's professional and positive image at all timesOther duties as assigned. What You'll Need:A friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic personality, and be a team player!Be at least 16 or more years oldHave strong communication skills, and demonstrated reliability and trustworthinessHave cash handling skills and ability to conduct basic arithmeticHave computer and mobile device literacy - including proficiency in web browsers, Word, Excel and Mac computers.Be able to see details at close range, especially on an electronic deviceBe able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) if required, such as a life preserverWork both indoors and outdoors and subject to varying weather conditions.
