Responsible for opening and closing procedures, table service, food prep, cleaning, cash handling and inventory, making drinks, possessing a large knowledge of drink recipes, checking for proper identification, maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the bar area, replacing kegs, handling employee issues, handling customer complaints and disturbances, scheduling employees, supervising other bartenders/servers, ordering supplies and alcohol and overseeing the workings of the bar/restaurant area.\r\nYour Responsibilities\r\n\r\nPrepare restaurant for lunch / dining by setting decorations, condiments, napkins and utensils\r\nProtect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies\r\nMust be able to explain the chef's specialties; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions\r\nStay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.\r\nTransmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording resident choices; identifying Resident special dietary needs and special requests\r\nServe orders by picking up and delivering patrons' choices from bar and kitchen; deliver accompaniments and condiments from service bars\r\nRespond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process\r\nMaintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs\r\nProperly open and pour wine at the tableside\r\nObtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing bill; accepting payment; returning credit card and signature slip to Resident\r\nContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed\r\n\r\nSkills & Qualifications:\r\n\r\nMust be available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holiday\r\nSuperior customer service skills / guest service focused\r\nPositive attitude and friendly personality is essential\r\nAbility to represent the restaurant with a professional image\r\nExcellent communication skills, both in person, through emails and over the phone\r\nExcellent time management skills and multitasking ability\r\nProgressive people management skills\r\n\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\n\r\nAbility to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job function\r\nAbility to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures.\r\nWork in an upright standing position for long periods of time.\r\nHandle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.\r\nReach with hands and arms.\r\nRepeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers.\r\n\r\nSchedule: Varies based on the needs of the property.\r\nWhat We Offer\r\nAs a full-time non-exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, and vision.
