The Service Engineer is a critical part of post-sales support and needs to demonstrate exceptional technical aptitude in working with server products in addition to excellent interpersonal skills. It requires the ability to Support our Global Service network and help build a world-class field engineering organization.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nIncludes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):\n\nPerform onsite and remote troubleshooting of complex Supermicro systems in enterprise data center environments\nDiagnose and resolve hardware issues involving GPUs, CPUs, memory, NVMe, NICs, and interconnects\nExecute hardware diagnostics, system validation, and root cause analysis\nCoordinate RMA processes and spare parts logistics\nManage and resolve service tickets using Salesforce or similar ticketing systems\nSupport GPU platforms such as NVIDIA HGX/DGX-based systems.\nTroubleshoot GPU-related issues (ECC errors, thermal throttling, driver mismatches).\nCoordinate RMA and spare parts logistics.\nCollaborate with Technical Account Managers, Service Managers, and Project Managers to support assigned customer accounts\nTravel to customer data centers to support deployments, perform break-fix activities, and train team members (up to 20%)\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience preferred\n3-5+ years’ experience in enterprise data center operations\n3-5+ years’ experience working with server, storage, compute and network hardware\n3-5+ years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing servers and networking infrastructure\n3-5+ years’ experience in Inventory Management, and ordering, receiving and shipping server and network equipment\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nWork is often performed in data center environment and physical dexterity is necessary to perform job functions\nAbility to lift to 30-50lbs. unassisted\nComfortable working in an environment requiring exposure to noise\nAvailable to work weekends, as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility is required\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nFamiliarity with GPU platforms such as NVIDIA DGX or HGX architecture.\nStrong Linux skills, including system navigation, package management, process management, and basic scripting\nExperience being on-call and ability to respond to critical events as needed.\nExcellent prioritization and time management skills\nStrong prioritization, communication, and time management skills\nAbility to work effectively in fast-paced, high-visibility environments\nSalary Range\n$70,000 - $100,000\nThe salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
