[SC00]\n\nThe Rotational Engineering (ROE) Program was created to provide a quality experience to early career level engineers to learn across FirstEnergy in a variety of diverse engineering positions. This selective 18-month rotational program supports individuals to learn valuable technical and professional skills while kick-starting their career in the electric utility industry. The ROE Program resides in FirstEnergy's Construction & Design Services (C&DS), Transmission, and Distribution (Engineering Services) organizations.\n\nAs an entry level Engineer, you will perform tasks related to engineering, analysis, construction, startup, maintenance and operation of electrical Transmission and Distribution equipment and associated facilities. Within the program, individuals will have access to personalized coaching and mentoring, professional development, continued educational opportunities, and more.\n\nTypically, rotational engineers will complete three rotations lasting approximately six months each. Rotational engineers are required to be geographically flexible for rotations. At the end of the program individuals are placed into final full-time assignments based upon business need and interest. The ROE position is an in-person role in which program participants will be expected to report in person during the rotations including daily work, trainings, site visits, professional development events, and more.\n\nPossible work locations would be within our five-state footprint (Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey) and could include Akron, Ohio, Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Reading, Pennsylvania, Fairmont, West Virginia, and Morristown, New Jersey.\n\n2027 cohorts will start in January or June. Start date will be dependent on graduation date and availability. Off-cycle start-dates can be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.\n\nFirstEnergy takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.\n\nThe estimated pay range for this role is $70,000-$80,000. The pay range for certain locations, including the state of New Jersey, includes a 20% differential to account for an increased cost of living, making the pay range $85,00-$95,000.\n\nJob responsibilities include:\n\nRecognizing risks and taking precautions and preventative measures to ensure a safe work environment for others as well as self\nConducting technical research and analysis, interpreting results, and making recommendations\nOffering and implementing technical solutions to basic technical processes and/or projects\nPreparing engineering change packages, specifications, technical reports and presentations\nProviding engineering output documents, such as minor modifications and corrective action response\nManaging and completing assigned activities to support timely implementation of required system operations\nEnsuring compliance with design codes/standards.\nProviding sound customer service\nActively seeking ways to add value within scope of assignments\nAnticipating and delivering results on a variety of job-specific projects\nPerforming project management and assistance in project start-up\nWorking independently as well as in a team environment\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering (BSEE, BSCE, BSME) from an ABET accredited institution is required.
