Experienced Interior Designer
Summary: Interior Designer applies more advanced and diverse knowledge and techniques of interior design principles and practices in a variety of tasks within multiple project types. They act independently regarding Interior Design tasks but will receive supervision and guidance concerning overall objectives, critical issues, and new concepts. The Interior Architect will mentor other junior designers and may delegate tasks to other team members as well as take more ownership and responsibility on overall projects. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited, to the following: Design and Documentation: Involved in internal project kick-offs.Demonstrates proficiency in implementing Forum Phi graphic standards successfully. Assist in all phases of the design process on a variety of projects in size and scope. Demonstrates an understanding of advanced design elements such as proportion, color, light, texture, and scale.Demonstrates an understanding of the architectural design process and integration of interior design concepts. Meticulously prepares Interior Design project documentation all phases including elevations, RCPs, schedules, and other drafting & documentation requirements of projects.Develops Interior Design presentations. Collaborates on design content & related digital materials.Collaborates with Sr. designers to create concepts, conduct research, source materials, and assist with various tasks.Prepares budgets, staffing outlines, and project phasing for small projects. Communicates appropriately with consultants including timelines and deliverables with oversight on small projects.Prepares and maintains individual schedule with feedback from Project Managers and weekly meetings.Ability to create new ideas both independently and in collaboration.Maintains project organization. Self-quality control work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for documentation compliance with Forum Phi standards.Contribute to the selection of materials, fixtures, and equipment (FF+E).Knowledge of construction methods and timelines.Facilitates Forum Phi's goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability.Mentor Designer One staff.Office Standards: Demonstrates proficiency in 3D Modeling software ArchiCad.Follows all office standards related to communications, documenting time in Ajera, Dropbox file, and document management. Proven ability to prioritize your work in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients communicates directly and effectively with principals and project managers if assistance is required to meet approaching deadlines..
