This role involves overseeing day-to-day security operations, supporting various security disciplines, and working closely with Project Managers and system security engineers throughout the system life cycle.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSecurity Oversight: Oversee and be accountable for the daily security operations of all information systems (both unclassified and classified).\nProgram Support: Assist in all aspects of the security program to ensure business needs are effectively met.\nLifecycle Support: Collaborate with Project Managers (PMs) and system security engineers on all phases of system development.\nSecurity Measures: Develop and implement security measures in accordance with ICDs, NISP, Government regulations, and local procedures.\nVulnerability Testing: Conduct ongoing vulnerability assessments to verify the functionality and effectiveness of security features and controls.\nCustomer Interaction: Engage with internal and external customers, including Government security officials, to address security matters and provide briefings.\nProcedure Development: Develop and enforce procedures for handling classified media and equipment, including marking, handling, transportation, sanitizing, and destruction.\nSystem Changes: Manage changes to classified system components, including temporary relocations to other classified areas.\nIncident Reporting: Assist the Information Systems Security Manager in reporting and mitigating security incidents, and initiate corrective measures to prevent future issues.\nKnowledge Application: Apply a thorough understanding of Automated Information Systems and specific knowledge of Chapter 8 of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual.\nTechnical Proficiency: Utilize various computer applications and testing tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WASSP, MBSA, Nessus, etc.\nCertification Support: Demonstrate a strong background in certification and accreditation processes and assist in writing, reviewing, and coordinating system security plans.\nQualifications:\nEducation:\nHigh School Diploma with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or\nBachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) with 2-4 years of relevant experience.\nExperience:\nDemonstrated experience in information systems security, including knowledge of security measures and procedures.\nFamiliarity with certification and accreditation processes and ability to work with security plans.\nCertifications (Preferred):\nCISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or\nDoD 8570-1 certifications, or actively working towards certification.\nSkills:\nStrong understanding of Automated Information Systems and security principles.\nProficiency with security tools and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WASSP, MBSA, Nessus).\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nSDA Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.
