Shop Mechanic (Diesel & Light Duty Truck)

Job Description Gulisek Construction is seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our growing team of construction professionals.About Gulisek:Founded in 1965 and operates as a successful bridge, highway, and concrete paving contractor.Part of the PJ Dick-Trumbull - Lindy Group family of construction companies, consistently ranked one of the Top 100 Builders nationally by Engineering News-Record ,A family-owned, Family of Companies voted one of Pittsburgh's "Best Places to Work" multiple times!Core values demonstrated every day are - Safety, Quality, Integrity, Family, and Community .PRIMARY FUNCTION:Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines.TYPICAL DUTIES:Maintain, diagnose, and repair gas and diesel engines, medium truck fleet and heavy equipment.Complete required preventive maintenance tasks per manufacture specificationsPrepare and complete service documentation.Perform welding as neededWork in a safe manner and maintain a clean, safe work environment.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or GED;At least 3 years experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy construction equipment mechanic (or a diploma from a trade school as a diesel mechanic);Light duty truck mechanic experience required;The ability to obtain a DOT medical card;Ability to be a self-starter and work independently on a regular basis;Be willing to work overtime and varying shifts;Possess a positive attitude and the ability to work in any kind of active construction zone.All candidates must have their own tools.
