Come join us and help shape the future!\n\nYour Impact\n\nResponsible for supporting and managing major transportation projects.\n\nOversee and monitor cross-functional teams of technical disciplines and subject matter experts to execute project work on mid-to-large and/or multiple concurrent projects, including budgets, tracking hours and expenses, task completion, cost, compliance documentation, and managing the contractual obligations to deliver the project(s) as defined in the contract.\n\nLead the development of project proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.\n\nManage budget development, monitoring, Estimate to Completes (ETCs), and recovery plans, and invoices\n\nResponsible for change management, such as documenting scope changes or scope additions.\n\nLead quality management efforts, such as defining quality metrics and planning quality assurance and control activities.\n\nPartner with management staff to maintain regular communications with the client including reporting on monthly status, safety incidents, and major issues together with scope and budget impacts.\n\nProvide continuous project management and quality program support.\n\nMonitor project progress, claims, and invoicing/payments.\n\nLead/support the development and updates to the Risk Management, Project Management Plan, Project Quality Plan, and Project Safety Plan as necessary.\n\nProvide regular project reporting and updates to clients, technical area, and discipline managers, identifying any emergent issues with scope, risk, and/or budget\n\nManage and provide performance guidance and leadership to assigned project management staff.\n\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.\n\nManage, and develop competitive grants for transportation projects\n\nSupports the development of local growth, forecast and business development strategy in collaboration with Local, Region, and National Business Line Leaders.\n\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.\n\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or a related discipline.\n\n12+ years of relevant post education experience with 5+ years of experience with transportation projects\n\nProficient understanding of project delivery process within the A/E/C industry and strong background and experience in project management.\n\nHighly proficient with critical thinking and problem-solving skills to make assessments and calculations involving the application of project management principles, with a sound understanding of intent, impact, and optimal outcomes.\n\nHighly proficient interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively, persuasively, and tactfully with leadership, subcontractors, and employees at all levels of the organization.\n\nStrong self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and adjusting readily to the changing prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.\n\nWorks independently to provide guidance and leadership to mid-level to senior-level team or project members, with strict adherence to the Project Quality Plan.\n\nProficiency with technical writing, office automation, relevant software, MS Office suite products (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint, Power Bi), technology, spreadsheets, and PM tools.\n\nDemonstrated effectiveness at coordinating resources and assertively directing staff, subconsultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and others to consistently complete tasks competently and efficiently.\n\nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.\n\nAbility to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.\n\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by project needs.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nBackground knowledge of transportation planning, design or construction industry.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or other project scheduling software.\n\nPreparation of written correspondence and presentation.\n\nWSP Benefits:\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
