We pride ourselves on our customer-obsessive approach and our commitment to approachable expertise in all our communications.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a commercially minded Creative Development Designer to partner directly with our Sales Team in developing retail-driven souvenir artwork.This is a hands-on design role focused on physical products, not digital interfaces or software. The ideal candidate understands how art translates to apparel, headwear, patches, and gift items, and how strong design drives sell-through in tourist and destination retail environments.You will respond to active sales opportunities and proactively develop trend-based art collections that sales can take to market.What This Role Is NotNot UX/UI designNot software product designNot corporate brand marketingNot a passive “order-taking” design roleThis is retail-focused, commercially-driven artwork development for physical products.Key Responsibilities - What You’ll OwnSales Partnership & Customer CollaborationPartner closely with Sales to develop artwork that supports customer opportunities.Participate in customer meetings when needed to understand direction, audience, and retail goals.Translate customer ideas into commercially viable, production-ready art.Take creative research off the salesperson’s plate by independently sourcing inspiration, trends, and regional concepts.Creative DevelopmentResearch tourist markets, regional themes, seasonal trends, and competitive retail assortments.Concept and create original souvenir artwork for apparel, headwear, accessories, and gift products.Develop cohesive art collections that Sales can proactively present to accounts.Adapt artwork across multiple decoration methods (screen print, embroidery, patches, DTF, etc.).Ensure designs are optimized for production realities and margin considerations.Project OwnershipManage your own project timelines to support customer delivery deadlines.Track revisions and approvals.Coordinate closely with Sales and Production to ensure clean handoffs.Balance multiple active customer opportunities simultaneously.Qualifications3–5+ years of graphic design experience in apparel, souvenir, promotional products, or retail merchandise.Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (required); Photoshop experience preferred.Experience preparing art files for production.Ability to research trends and independently generate concepts.Comfortable collaborating with sales professionals and occasionally interacting with customers.Highly organized and deadline-driven.Comes from a design agency background (preferred) and thrives in a dynamic environmentDemonstrates strong multitasking skills and ownership across concurrent projectsProactively explores AI tools and new technologies to increase speed, efficiency, and innovationYou Could be the Right Person for This Role if You:Think about what will sell, not just what looks good.Enjoy researching trends and building themed collections.Can take a rough idea and turn it into retail-ready art.Manage your own workflow without needing constant direction.Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, opportunity-driven environment.Why This Role MattersAt Impulse Souvenirs, design directly impacts retail success.
