Reporting to the Director of Technology Initiatives, this role is responsible for managing complex technical projects from planning through execution, ensuring project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and contractual requirements are successfully achieved.\n\nWorking closely with industry, government, academic, and startup partners, the Technical Program Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, monitor project performance, mitigate risks, and foster collaboration to deliver innovative solutions that strengthen U.S. manufacturing.\n\nThis hybrid position requires occasional onsite work at ARM Institute’s Pittsburgh office located in Hazelwood.\n\nU.S. Citizenship is required.\n\nResponsibilities\nManage technical projects to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.\nCoordinate project resources, schedules, and activities while monitoring progress against project milestones and deliverables.\nOversee project planning, execution, and verification activities while ensuring compliance with scope, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.\nMonitor project performance, budgets, and forecasts, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies as needed.\nConduct project reviews and assess project schedules, budgets, risks and overall performance.\nPrepare and present project status reports, performance metrics, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.\nServe as the primary point of contact for project partners and sub-awardees, providing guidance and facilitating effective communication.\nDevelop and improve project management processes, best practices, and documentation that support ARM’s strategic objectives.\nSupport compliance with program contracts, sub-awards, financial requirements, deliverables and reporting obligations.\n\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or a related technical field; equivalent demonstrated experience may be considered.\nMinimum of five years of experience managing complex technical or engineering programs.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, budgets, and stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nStrong analytical, organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nProject Management Professional (PMP), PMI certification, or equivalent project management certification.\nExperience managing government-funded research or manufacturing programs.\nExperience working with robotics, advanced manufacturing, automation, or Manufacturing USA® initiatives.\n\nWhy ARM?\nAt ARM Institute, you’ll help accelerate the adoption of robotics and AI technologies that strengthen U.S. manufacturing.
