Receive direction as needed, and especially complex assignments, modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria. Work is completed using advanced techniques and principles and is reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound professional judgement. May review work produced by junior staff for quality assurance.\nAt the Operational and Company Level\nSupport application development that increases efficiencies and quality of client service delivery.\nDo the Work\nMonitor, analyze, design, and develop the company's computer software applications and solutions to meet customer needs.\nEffectively communicate internal client system requirements.\nCreate and implement source code of new applications.\nTest and debug code as required.\nEvaluate existing applications, perform updates and modifications, and identify opportunities for system improvements.\nDevelop technical handbooks / guidelines to represent the design and code of new applications.\nMaintain dynamic, evolving reporting requirements.\nManage development projects to ensure they meet the company's business requirements and goals.\nEnsure that project milestones and goals are met within schedule and budget.\nMaintain, support, and upgrade existing systems and applications.\nWork with other departments to establish their software application needs.\nPerform hands-on development tasks, as appropriate.\nSuccess Metrics and Competencies:\nAbility to work both independently and within a team environment.\nAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and external partners.\nHighly motivated and problem-solving attitude.\nStrong sense of urgency in responding to constituents.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong work ethic and commitment to quality.\nSelf-reliance and ability to operate independently with limited direction.\nEffective working relationship with internal leaders and peers, as well as external clients.\nCommitment to working in partnership with others inside and outside the organization.\nData analysis and interpretation skills.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems preferred or commensurate coursework in related field.\nThree or more (3+) years of technical applications development experience.\nWell-rounded understanding of computer systems and networks.\nExperience with formal developing testing process.\nComfortable digesting diverse API Documentation and presenting functional solutions.\nAnalytical skills needed to identify and troubleshoot issues within applications and use problem-solving skills to determine best solution.\nStrong decision-making skills.\nPhysical Demands and Working Environment:\nPrimarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.\nMobility around an office environment.\nFrequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.\nPrimarily local travel during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be required according to the needs of the business.\nOccasional lifting or carrying up to 100 pounds.\nOccasional pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds.\nOccasional reaching outward or above shoulder.\n#LI-BJ1\nAbout Bowman:\nAre you ready to build a career that makes a lasting impact?
