The Software scope delivers digital platforms, applications, and analytics across power systems, buildings, grid, data centers, and workplace domains. You will join the S&S Strategic Intelligence & Planning team to lead intelligence activities for the Software scope, shape strategic priorities, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic decision-making in a dynamic software-driven energy landscape.\r\nResponsibilities Lead key strategic intelligence activities covering all software: Software Market & Competition intelligence program.\r\nLead cross-entity market and competitive intelligence across the five software businesses, synthesizing market dynamics into portfolio-level strategic implications.\r\nLeverage external research partners to close knowledge gaps and enrich internal perspectives.\r\nContinuously track ecosystem moves (partnerships, M&A, platform ecosystems, cloud/AI players) to inform positioning.\r\nAnalyze software industry shifts (AI, SaaS models, platformization, pricing evolution) and assess impact for software strategy; provide M&A prescreening support.\r\nDeliver competitor deep dives, identifying key players, platform strategies, and emerging disruptors across domains.\r\nDeliver a Competition & Industry Newsletter to key stakeholders on a recurring basis.\r\nProduce high-impact intelligence outputs (e.g., executive briefings, newsletters) tailored to diverse stakeholders.\r\nBuild and structure a common intelligence framework with methodologies, tools, cadence, and deliverables; ensure consistency and accessibility of insights.\r\nAct as a central orchestrator, connecting inputs from multiple software teams into a unified narrative.\r\nCollaborate with software entity strategy, marketing and product teams to support portfolio-level strategic decisions; share best practices, methodology, and tools within the strategy community.\r\nProvide executive-level synthesis and decision materials on high-priority topics.\r\nQualifications Master's degree or MBA from engineering or business school (or equivalent relevant field).\r\nExperience in strategy, consulting, marketing, or software/tech business analysis.\r\nWorking proficiency in English; French or other language is a plus.\r\nStrong ability to structure and synthesize complex, multi-entity environments into clear strategic insights.\r\nProven ability to translate data into concise, executive-level storytelling (PowerPoint, dashboards, reports).\r\nExcellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and seniority levels.\r\nCollaborative team player comfortable working in a global, cross-cultural environment.\r\nNice to have: Experience in software, digital platforms, or AI-driven businesses; background in strategic marketing in tech/software or consulting.\r\nWhat we offer Direct impact on strategic decisions shaping the future of the business.\r\nOpportunities to develop expertise while coaching and guiding emerging talent.\r\nCollaborative culture that encourages innovation, curiosity, and professional growth.\r\nExposure to global markets and cross-functional leadership opportunities.\r\nCompetitive pay and total rewards package, with base salary, incentives, and benefits.\r\nCompensation and Benefits For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 101,600 - USD 152,400 per year.
