Make an impact by providing services that help the government ensure the well being and support of U.S. citizens.\nJob Description\nGDIT has an opportunity for an SAP Data Migration Engineer to support the SAP S/4HANA transformation programs through direct execution of data migration activities. The position focuses on building, loading, validating, and correcting data using SAP Data Services and the S/4HANA Migration Cockpit within an established migration framework. The position supports the NASA Consolidated Applications and Platform Services Program (NCAPS). NCAPS consolidates enterprise-wide applications and platform services across the Agency and supports the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Application Division transformation into the Application and Platform Service (APS) Line with agile based service delivery and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management practices. This is a remote position.\nResponsibilities:\nExecute data extractions from SAP ECC using SAP Data Services (BODS).\nQuery and analyze source and staging data using SAP HANA SQL.\nBuild, maintain, and optimize dataflows, workflows, and extraction jobs.\nPerform source data analysis and data profiling to identify data quality issues.\nPerform source to target field-level data mappings.\nApply transformation rules, derivations, and validations within SAP Data Services.\nTranslate functional mapping specifications into executable ETL logic.\nLoad master and transactional data into SAP S/4HANA using Migration Cockpit and LSMW.\nExecute mock loads and support cutover load activities.\nAnalyze load errors, correct data issues, and reprocess loads as required.\nValidate data across source systems, staging, and S/4HANA targets.\nReconcile record counts, balances, and key attributes based on defined validation criteria.\nSupport defect resolution and retesting during mock cycles.\nIdentify data quality issues such as duplicates, missing values, and invalid formats.\nSupport cleansing activities in coordination with business data owners.\nImplement data correction logic within SAP Data Services where applicable.\nSupport mock load cycles, dress rehearsals, and production cutover execution.\nExecute data loads according to defined load waves, object sequencing, and cutover schedules.\nPerform root-cause analysis of load and validation errors across BODS, Migration Cockpit, and HANA layers.\nMaintain and update mapping specifications and transformation logic documentation.\nTrack, analyze, and remediate data defects using defined defect management processes.\nValidate data readiness prior to load execution (completeness, format, dependencies).\nWork with functional teams to resolve data issues tied to configuration or business rules.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.\n8+ years of hands-on SAP data migration experience.\nStrong experience with SAP Data Services (BODS).\nWorking experience with SAP HANA backend.\nPractical experience using S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, LSMW & BDC.\nDemonstrated experience with data extraction, mapping, transformation, and validation.\nWorking knowledge of SAP master data objects (Customer, Vendor, Material, GL).\nExperience handling large datasets and flat-file-based loads.\nDeep knowledge of SAP Table structures.\nDesired Capabilities:\nExecute assigned migration tasks within defined standards and templates.\nCollaborates with functional and technical team members to resolve data issues.\nDelivers assigned objects through mock cycles and cutover phases.\nCommunicates data issues clearly and factually.\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n401K with company match.\nComprehensive health and wellness packages.\nInternal mobility team dedicated to helping you build your skills and own your career.\nProfessional growth opportunities include paid education and certifications.\nCutting-edge technology you can learn from.\nRest and recharge with paid vacation and 10 company-paid holidays.\nWork Requirements\nYears of Experience\n8 + years of related experience\nmay vary based on technical training, certification(s), or degree\nCertification\nTravel Required\nLess than 10%\nCitizenship\nU.S. Citizenship Required\nSalary and Benefit Information\nThe likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $127,755.
