Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is a growing road construction company. We are seeking to fill a Roller Operator position for our local operations.\n\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\n\nWill operate the heavy rolling machine to compact subgrades and asphalt and assist related crew in adding fill, placing the stone, laying asphalt, dumping trucks, and other site preparation duties\n\nAbility to determine the speed and direction of the machine\n\nRequires knowledge of compressibility of material under changing temperatures\n\nWill operate hand roller, hand tamp, or guide portable power roller over areas not accessible to road roller\n\nCheck all fluids at the beginning of the engine startup and continue to monitor gauges and fluid levels throughout the daily operation\n\nAbility to perform light mechanical adjustments and/or assist mechanic in performing a repair on equipment, assist with the lubrication and fueling of the roller\n\nFollow safe practices and procedures\n\nOther duties as assigned\n\nRequirements\n\nA minimum of 1 year of experience in the paving industry required\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred\n\nMust be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed\n\nAble to complete all required paperwork efficiently\n\nMust be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license\n\nEmployee conducts drug screening and background check\n\nWe offer competitive salaries and fringe benefits.\nThank you for your interest in opportunities with CWR!\nTo submit your application successfully, kindly ensure completion of all sections by clicking on the '+' sign to expand each section, providing required information, and saving your progress before proceeding.
