This role ensures that materials meet quality standards and are delivered on time to support project schedules.\n\nWhat You'll Do:\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nInventory Control and Management.\n\nIdentifying equipment/material shortages with the supply chain management team.\nMaintain an up-to-date database of staged received material and equipment to report to Material Manager.\nEnsure all procurement activities align with company safety policies and quality standards.\nRegularly review supplier performance, discrepancies within material deliveries, and report to management.\nBe able to learn and utilize the material tracking tools such as Procore and ClearSpider.\nTrack inventory levels continuously for multiple jobsites, to maintain up to date status on individual projects.\nImplement and oversee inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.\nAttention to detail, ensuring deliveries match paperwork and anticipated quantities on a tracking tool.\nConduct inventory audits and address discrepancies promptly.\nEnsure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss.\n\nQuality Management and Assurance\n\nEstablish and enforce quality standards for all incoming materials to meet project specifications.\nInspect incoming materials upon delivery, verifying compliance with quality criteria.\nCollaborate with project teams to resolve any material quality issues that arise.\nMaintain detailed records of material quality assessments, supporting quality control.\n\nWork with material management and client to address and prevent recurring quality concerns.\n\nLogistics Coordination and Distribution\n\nUnderstand applicable safety and DOT requirements for handling, unloading or transportation of materials.\nCoordinate the transportation and timely delivery of materials to job sites, optimizing logistics flow.\nWork with logistics teams to plan efficient routing and delivery schedules, minimizing delays.\nEnsure that materials are stored safely and securely on-site, supporting easy access for teams.\n\nReporting and Compliance\n\nEnsure compliance with safety, DOT and environmental regulations in material handling and storage.\nMaintain accurate documentation related to procurement, inventory, and material usage.\nProvide timely updates to management on material status, cost variances, and supplier issues.\nWhat You'll Bring:\n\nQualifications:\n\nEducation: Preferred 2+ years in substation construction, related field or degree in supply chain management.\nExperience: Proven experience in materials management, preferably within the construction industry.\nSkills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
