We don’t just integrate robots — we engineer complete, production-ready systems that power the world’s most advanced manufacturers.\nWe are growing and seeking experienced Robotic Programmers who thrive in dynamic project environments and want to work on high-impact automation systems across diverse industries.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a Robotic Programmer at AMT, you’ll play a critical role in designing, programming, launching, and optimizing robotic automation systems.\nCore Responsibilities:\nProgram, integrate, and debug robotic systems (robots & PLCs)\nSupport installation and startup of automated robotic systems\nLead production launch and on-site customer support\nDevelop cost-effective technical solutions while maintaining reliability\nReview requirements, specifications, and system designs\nMaintain customer specifications and manage deviations\nProvide application expertise for material handling, machine tending, and vision-guided robotics\nDevelop integration tools and strategies to improve efficiency and reduce cost\nInvestigate and implement process and technology enhancements\nTechnical Expertise\nWe’re looking for hands-on experience in:\nIndustrial robots: FANUC, ABB, KUKA, or Motoman\nPLC/HMI programming (Rockwell and Siemens preferred)\nVFD and Servo control systems\nVision-guided robotics applications\nElectromechanical systems integration\nAutomotive standards (GM, Ford, Stellantis/FCA preferred)\nAdvanced knowledge of robotic material handling and machine tending applications is highly desirable.\nTravel Expectations\nApproximately 60% travel to customer sites\nProject-based assignments may require extended out-of-state work (returning home every other weekend)\nPast projects have included Colorado, New York, and various U.S. locations\nHeadquarters located in Orion, Michigan\nWhat You Bring\nMinimum 2 years of industrial robot programming experience\nGreat attitude, confidence in your problem-solving ability, willingness to learn AND mentor others\nPreferred experience with automation project installation, system design, programming, and commissioning.\nCandidates must already be authorized to work in the United States.
