Included are tasks like loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring materials are delivered to the correct locations in a timely manner, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety guidelines. The Material Handler must work to ensure smooth and consistent operation to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nWorks safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Scepter policies and OSHA standards\nEnsures all machines are running the proper resins and additives as outlined in the BOM\nEnsure all material transfers are performed properly and accurately\nChecks WO to ensure correct material is used at each workstation.\nResponsible for the removal of all trash and scrap bins from Production Stations.\nResponsible for stocking Production lines to required levels.\nTransfer finished goods to proper locations\nMovement of WIP/Scrap to proper secondary processing locations\nResponsible for accurate weights of scrap, re-ground and pelletized product\nResponsible for accurate daily finished good, WIP and raw material inventory counts\nResponsible for the proper labeling of materials with necessary product information\nConduct break relief to production associates when required\nEffectively communicate (verbal, written, etc.) material status between shifts\nOther duties as assigned\nEducation and Experience\nHigh School Diploma/GED is required,\nFork-lift certification required or must obtain if selected for position is required.\nSix months of related experience and/or training are required.\nBasic Math Skills (Add/Subtract/Multiply/Divide) is required.\nAbility to communicate in a positive and clear way is required.\nOne plus year of related experience and/or training is preferred.\nThree years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.\nLean Manufacturing experience is preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequent exposure to manufacturing operations requires the proper use of all necessary safety equipment.
