or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.\nOne year’s experience in a management position with at least 2 direct reports.\nBasic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Warehouse Management System.\nMust be able to work a flexible schedule as required which may include working off shifts and weekends.\nExcellent leadership and people skills.\nSome travel may be required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree\nProficiency in English and Spanish oral and written communication\nEngineering background\nProficiency in decision making, organizational skills, problem solving, results driven and technical capacity.\nMust be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.\nEssential Functions: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:\nRegular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.\nHire, train and supervise warehouse maintenance personnel in the performance of their assigned duties and achievement of department production, quality and safety goals.\nManage, plan, and coordinate the activities of the facility maintenance to ensure optimum service level maintenance, and minimize operations downtime.\nEnsure production/maintenance schedules are maintained and customers’ needs are met by the effective management of the material flow in the facility.\nTrain and direct employees in the performance of their assigned functions in order to achieve production/maintenance goals.\nPromote a positive work environment which inspires positive employee morale.\nCreate and meet annual variable cost budgets for the department managed.\nControl and direct maintenance operations through effective scheduling, budgeting and human resource management programs.\nEstablish and control distribution costs including labor, materials and overhead costs as it relates to building maintenance.\nDevelop, implement and administer maintenance programs for improving distribution operations.\nIdentify areas for quality improvement and initiate problem-solving activities to improve quality performance throughout the facility.\nDevelop programs to elicit and implement the suggestions of employees.\nEnsure the work areas are appropriately maintained and correct any unsafe conditions immediately.\nMaintain a safe work environment by observing and enforcing OSHA, HAZMAT, environmental and Lock out Tag Out requirements.\nOversee building and grounds maintenance including landscaping, lawn maintenance, snow removal, employee and trailer parking lot maintenance, HVAC (electrical and plumbing;
