Your work will directly affect people's lives!\nKey Responsibilities\nUnload incoming trailers from plant or suppliers of finished goods using hand or electric powered equipment.\nCheck incoming shipments and place material in proper storage bin locations while maintaining proper stock rotation of materials.\nProcess all types of orders (pallet, small package, etc.) efficiently and without error.\nUse computers, RF scanners and power equipment as well as following distribution best practices regarding efficient workflow/processing.\nPrepare shipping documents for all outgoing shipments ensuring all required inputs are entered into the Oracle Warehouse Management Software.\nUnderstand and adhere to all applicable DOT, OSHA, EPA, EEO, ISO and other PPG policies procedures and regulations.\nParticipate in inventory, cycle counting, and audits as required. Ensure times replenishment and identification of potential material shortages.\nParticipate in safety meetings, safety observations, and all other required meetings.\nPerform minor maintenance as required on warehouse equipment including the electric/manual pallet jack, forklift and other special equipment related to the distribution center.\nPerforms general housekeeping practices to ensure operation of a safe and well-maintained facility.\nAssists the Distribution Manager, Assistant Manager or Supervisor in the performance of selected duties or special projects as required.\n\nQualifications\n1 to 2 years warehouse/manufacturing experience.\nNeeds to have basic reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills to process orders and complete paperwork as necessary.\nPrevious experience in paint and/or hazardous materials is a plus.\nNeed to have good interpersonal skills, detail oriented, basic computer skills, and organizational skills.\nRepeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. and stand on one’s feet for extended periods of time.\nPrevious fork-truck and hand-jack experience beneficial.\n#IQ\nPPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
