Sonographer, Acute Hot Springs, AR (71901) Work Model: Onsite (In-person required) Position Type: Full-Time Openings: 1 The Sonographer (Acute Care) is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. This role requires strong technical expertise, patient care skills, and adherence to safety and compliance standards in a hospital setting. Must-Haves (Screening Questions) Do you have a current State License in good standing? Are you a graduate from an accredited DMS program? Do you hold ARRT or DMS Certification? Do you have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification? Minimum Qualifications Education: Graduate from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program Certifications / Licenses: Current State License (required) ARRT or DMS Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) Experience / Knowledge / Skills Experience performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures in an acute care or hospital setting Strong understanding of sonographic imaging techniques and equipment Ability to evaluate images for diagnostic quality Knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and compliance standards Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills Nice-to-Have 5+ years of experience in sonography (preferred) Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered by physicians Ensure proper patient positioning and comfort during procedures Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to physicians Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure proper functioning Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols Document procedures accurately in medical records Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for patient care Provide compassionate care to patients in acute settings
