This support will include a mixture of remote and onsite support for the existing BFT2 network. Key responsibilities include supporting deployment, testing, documentation, training, operation, maintenance, and solving problems with the production network. We work successfully with both internal and external personnel with various skills. Disciplines requiring support include software, hardware, electrical, IP networking, configuration management, IA, and technical publications.The day-to-dayAs a team member your remote support duty is to support the operation of the network. Examples include (but are not limited to) initial system configuration, performance monitoring, analysis of trend data, and resolution of system problems. We interface remotely with customers and other Viasat groups via phone and email to provide issue resolution and answer customer questions. This support is 24/7 and requires each Service Engineer to participate in an on-call rotation.Standard on-site support duties include CONUS and OCONUS installations, testing, training, and maintenance of all locations. This includes hardware, networking, and RF component maintenance and repair, software test and integration, as well as routine maintenance and configuration changes.
