The position is insupport of the SEC Division of Economic and Risk Analysis Data Governance initiative.\n\nPosition is full-time, work location is 100 F St NE next to Union Station.\n\nResponsibilities:\nOne of the tasks is building a data landing page/portal/wiki containing information and resources\non ~200 data sets (currently about ~1.5 PB) resident at the SEC\nPortal will eventually have policies, procedures, ETL processes, data access, metadata, training\nmaterials, points of contact\nTarget audience is business users of the data at the SEC, usually economists who use the data for\nresearch and enforcement personnel who use it in enforcement actions\nObjectives of data portal are to help business users: a) Understand what data resources are\navailable within SEC, b) How to get access to these datasets and interact with them, and, c) Share\nknowledge related to data resources\n\nQualifications\n\nBachelor’s Degree\nMinimum 2 years of experience in the following bullet points\nKnowledge of data governance frameworks and elements including data quality tools (especially\nInfoSphere)\nExperience designing similar portals/sites, with an emphasis on end-user friendly design (e.g.,\nvisually appealing and intuitive designs, search functionality, ease of navigation)\nExperience with Java, Python, R, HTML\nExperience working with large structured and unstructured data sets and data storage\nenvironments, especially Oracle, Hadoop, and Netezza\nAbility to gather, synthesize and prioritize requirements from multiple stakeholders and user\nsegments preferred\nExperience with HTML5 and CSS preferred\n\nOceanEast is an equal opportunity employer.
