As Ausland Group’s Accounting Controller, you will oversee the company’s financial systems and play a central role in ensuring accuracy, transparency, and accountability. You will also help shape the financial processes that support our ongoing growth and impact.\n\nBeyond technical proficiency, we’re looking for someone who excels at mentoring others, building strong internal controls, and collaborating across disciplines. You’ll work closely with a talented team of architects, engineers, and construction professionals to align financial strategy with project execution and client success.\n\nThis position is based in our Eugene office and will require regular weekly travel to our Headquarters in Grants Pass.\n\nPRIMARY FUNCTIONS:\nResponsible for internal accounting controls, financial reporting, compliance, and overall leadership of accounting and compliance team.\n\nJOB DUTIES:\n\nFinancial and Managerial Accounting\nDevelop and maintain a system of accounting policies and controls\nOversee the operations of the accounting department\nEnsure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles\nManage work in process revenue recognition\nEnsure timely and relevant financial and managerial statements and reporting\nManage production of the corporate budget and forecasts\n\nTreasury\nForecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment\nArrange for debt financing and investment of surplus capital\n\nCompliance\nCoordinate with external accountants for annual financial statement review and tax preparation\nMonitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants\nComply with regulatory tax reporting requirements and filings\n\nRisk Management\nLead banking, CPA, insurance, and surety relationships\nEnsure that record keeping meets regulatory requirements\nMaintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations\nOversee the preparation of required corporate annual reporting\n\nMinimum Experience & Credentials:\n5 years of construction industry controller specific experience\nProficiency with industry specific software\nBS in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field, from an AACSB accredited college or university\nValid driver’s license and reasonable driving record\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS\nAbility to lift and move up to 20 lbs. occasionally.\nSitting (or driving) in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.\nReaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.\nFinger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), i.e.: using a keyboard.\nCommunication using the spoken word.\nAbility to see within normal parameters, to hear within normal range and to move about\n\nBENEFITS\nComprehensive health, dental and vision insurance\n$15,000 life insurance policy\n401(k) with company match\n\nFitness and wellness membership allowance\nPaid holidays\nPaid time off\n\nPaid professional memberships and licensure\n\nCompany celebrations and social events\nAnnual employee recognition, gifts, and swag\n\nFlexible work environment accommodations, valuing work-life balance\n\nAUSLAND’S VISION\nTo bring world class development, locally scaled for our community.\n\nCORE VALUES\nIntegration, Innovation, Resourcefulness and Tenacity.\n\nEEO STATEMENT\nAusland is an equal opportunity employer.
