Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Custodian to join our team in St. Martinville. Experience in janitorial services, floor care, and general facilities maintenance is highly valued. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment Conduct floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure surfaces are spotless and well-maintained Handle trash removal and recycling procedures efficiently Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, and fixtures as needed Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting when required Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment Use industrial cleaning tools and supplies for specialized cleaning projects Support facility upkeep through janitorial and custodial duties to uphold high standards of cleanliness Requirements Previous experience in custodial services or janitorial work preferred; experience with commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and carpet extraction Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential for consistent attendance Prior experience with residential painting or facilities maintenance is advantageous but not required This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to maintaining clean and safe environments while gaining valuable custodial skills.
