You will work with design engineers, construction project managers, facilities and maintenance technicians, vendors, and internal partners to support these goals. This position is based in McGregor, TX.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate facilities projects to ensure vendors meet standards while delivering promised services, materials, and craftsmanshipPlan and direct construction activities of internal resources as well as all involved subcontractors for each phase of construction and lead any coordination meetings between tradesWork hand-in-hand with the Texas Construction Projects team to maintain accurate records of daily logs, progress reports, and financial reports related to the construction of facilitiesEnforce contract expectations from subcontractors and communicate any discrepanciesApprove work being performed by subcontractors and handle any related issuesAuthorize payments to subcontractors upon thorough inspection of workMaintain a safe work site by implementing safety requirements, enforcing safe work habits, and observing OSHA requirements and any applicable agency regulationsVerify all checklists are complete and inspections are scheduled and passedMonitor cleanliness and hold subcontractors responsible for daily clean-upSchedule and manage subcontractors to make designated warranty repairsDevelop and maintain rapport with subcontractors, operators, and inspectorsCoordinate inspections with local officialsReview and manage project request tickets, including creating work orders when needed and managing their completionCreate purchase orders as necessary to support timely project execution, including but not limited to rentals, materials, or subcontractor laborBasic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate5+ years of experience in the construction industry2+ years of experience leading the coordination of multiple trades on-sitePreferred Skills And ExperienceKnowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R), concrete, framing, and industrial gas tradesKnowledge of basic engineering and construction principles and methodsAbility to conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customersSkilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations; ability to mark up and highlight coordination itemsDemonstrated ability to independently and effectively manage projects in an extremely fast-paced and changing environmentProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite tools and PDF editor software such as Bluebeam or Adobe AcrobatAbility to work in a high-stress environment balancing several projects at any given time and the flexibility to adjust for abrupt changes in strategic directionAdditional RequirementsRole may require extended hours, weekend work, and shift schedules that vary depending on site operational needs; flexibility requiredAbility to provide 24/7 on-call support in emergency situationsPhysical effort including standing, lifting, and carrying moderately heavy materials or equipment (25 lbs.)Occasional travel may be required based on project tasksWillingness to work outdoors in an environment requiring exposure to extreme temperatures and elevationsItar RequirementsTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C.1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
