We design, develop, and manufacture advanced products for ground, maritime, and airborne applications.\n\nWe’re seeking a motivated Test Engineer to join our growing Tactical Systems Department to support the development of cutting-edge, ruggedized military hardware for air, land, and sea. Our department focuses on tightly integrated, compact sensing and computing technologies to deliver mission critical information at the edge. Our products have been deployed and proven across all seven continents in the harshest environments on the planet.\n\nThis is an on-site role located in Torrance, CA.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop test plans, perform test procedures, and create test reports that provide thoughtful and conclusive analysis, next steps, and innovative ideas.\nWork on a multi-faceted team to perform data analysis, develop automated test code and software, and design test fixtures for both upcoming products as well as new technological research.\nCooperate and communicate with the program manager on time estimation, timelines, and technical solutions related to testing.\nCollaborate with senior engineers to create more effective and efficient test methods that enable 100% test of our products and prototypes.\nTroubleshoot circuit boards, hardware, embedded microcontroller code, etc. and perform Root Cause Analysis.\nEstablish test methods and provide detailed documentation of procedures, results, and conclusions.\nPerform environmental, EMI/EMC/ESD, and other military standard testing in external and internal lab facilities.\n\nRequirements:\nB.S. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering with a focus on microcontrollers.\n2+ years of professional or academic experience in a technical field that demonstrates strong organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.\nProficiency in electronics hardware, microcontrollers, embedded C, and Python.\nExperience with circuit board schematics.\nExperience with microcontrollers and/or microprocessors.\nExperience with electronic lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and logic analyzers.\nExperience with digital serial interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, etc.\nExcellent computer literacy and working knowledge of MS Office and Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence).\nStrong communication skills (verbal and written) including presenting ideas, test plans, and technical knowledge internally to a diverse team in engineering, science, and other non-technical backgrounds.\nA willingness to own and perform testing beyond embedded code such as power supplies, mixed signal circuits, and physics experiments.\n\nNice to Have:\nKnowledge in design standards and interfaces with respect to MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461 testing.\nExperience developing and maintaining test plans and reports to demonstrate meeting customer-provided or -derived system requirements.\nWorking knowledge of coding best practices and standards.\nExpert in GIT and/or Bitbucket for repository.\n\nWhat You Can Expect:\nThe ability to innovate, develop, and transition prototype technologies into new products, and to be rewarded for successful transitions.\nThe chance to continually work on new differentiating technologies and implement simple elegant solutions to meet customer needs and that make an impact.\nLeadership that enables its engineers with all the tools they need to be successful.\n\nPay Range: $90,000-$130,000 (However, base salary for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience)\n\nBenefits:\n4 Weeks PTO a year (including 40 hours of PTO your first day\n10 paid holidays\n401(k) with 100% employer matching up to 4% of salary (no vesting period)\nMultiple options for Medical, Vision, Dental Insurance plans\nHealth Savings Accounts\nFlexible Spending Accounts\nTuition Assistance (30% of Tuition with a minimum qualifying grade)\n100% Paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\n100% Paid Basic Life and AD&D Insurance\n100% Paid Workers Compensation Insurance\nVoluntary Life Insurance\n\nThe unique culture at Intellisense offers the entrepreneurial spirit of a smaller company with the support and expertise of a larger organization.
