{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"f8898823477dc1cb732e121c","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f8898823477dc1cb732e121c","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/f8898823477dc1cb732e121c","title":"Maintenance Tech","description":"Job description\nProduction & Skilled Trades\nPosition Summary\nRepairs and maintains mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components of production machines and equipment, and of plant facility by performing the following duties.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nVisually inspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.\nDismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.\nInspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.\nStarts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.\nRemoves, repairs, or replaces broken parts using hand or power tools.\nSets up and operates metalworking tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder, to make or repair parts.\nIdentifies problems with automated equipment using Programmable Logic Controllers, making program changes as needed.\nDevelops and performs preventive maintenance program for facilities and equipment.\nDiagnoses and replaces faulty, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.\nCleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery.\nInstalls, programs or repairs automated machinery and equipment.\nOther duties may be assigned.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Requires experience in use and programming of Programmable Logic Controllers.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, and safety regulations. Ability to write reports, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from ball production employees.\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS\nAbility to calculate figures using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nREASONING ABILITY\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.\nOTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES\nRequires ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings, blueprints, specifications and, other technical information.\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
