Hospitals, hotels, schools, bridges, airports and more.Come build a career you believe in.About The RoleAs a Community Maintenance Technician at Z-Modular in Midland, TX, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment in an industrial environment.This position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, along with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues to ensure safe, efficient operations.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on environments, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in maintaining smooth production performance.What You’ll DoLead and promote safe and healthy work practices in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policiesInspect and maintain engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power toolsTroubleshoot plant electrical systems, including PLCs, motors, drives, and relaysAdjust functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedgesFabricate and repair parts using machine shop tools and equipmentMaintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by monitoring stock levels and anticipating needsStay current on technical knowledge by participating in workshops, reviewing publications, and building professional networksCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support operational efficiencyPerform other duties as assigned, including regular, full-time, onsite attendance according to shift schedulesWho You AreHigh School Diploma or GED required; Technical or Trade School certification preferredAbility to obtain certification for in-house crane, fork truck, and other mobile equipment operationWelding experience and prior manufacturing experience preferredStrong understanding of equipment and machinery through diagrams, manuals, and engineering specificationsSolid mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsProficient in following written and verbal instructionsFamiliar with Microsoft Office applicationAbility to stand for 10–12 hours and lift up to 50 lbsPhysical AbilitiesAbility to perform the essential functions of the role, including completing maintenance tasks, inspections, and general property upkeep. This work requires regularly moving throughout the property, including accessing stairs, ladders, and confined spaces, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.Role involves frequent physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and performing repetitive tasks.
