In short, we have set up our company to ensure that our team can do the work they love while living the life they want.\n\nRequirements Technology Engineer Job Responsibilities: At Wired Engineering our employees wear many hats and encourage innovation that fosters advancements. These are the basic responsibilities of the role, but we ask that candidates understand that this list is not all-inclusive.\n\nDesigns telecommunication structured cabling systems including copper and fiber cabling.\n\nDesigns Physical Security Systems including, electronic access control, power supplies, wiring diagrams, evaluating door hardware, intercom systems, PLC design and how industry standards apply to design decisions.\n\nDesigns Surveillance Systems using 3d modeling software to ensure the desired views and image clarity are met, and that all calculations are accurately indicated in design documentation (i.e. field of view, resolutions, etc.).\n\nDesigns Audio/Video systems including speaker systems, microphones, displays, projectors, and control systems.\n\nSets up projects and produces designs using Revit.\n\nEvaluates, identifies, and documents the electrical and cooling requirements for various systems.\n\nPrepares specifications for use in construction.\n\nUses Smartsheet for Project Management related tasks.\n\nProvides engineering information by answering questions and requests.\n\nAssists staff with designs and questions\n\nEnsures client satisfaction is maintained by managing expectations.\n\nMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.\n\nSkills and Qualifications:\n\nRevit Design and Modeling (Required)\n\nProblem-solving ability and self/team accountability\n\nDetail oriented\n\nUnderstanding of IT infrastructure, Security, and Audio/Video Systems\n\nExperience in Autodesk AEC software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360)\n\nProficiency in Bluebeam\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel (minimum))\n\nTeam mentality\n\nTime management and deadline conscience\n\nPreference for quality over quantity\nUnderstanding of IT Networking\n\nProficiency in Smartsheet\n\nSystem Budgeting\n\nDesired Education, Experience, & Licensing: We understand that candidates may not have all the credentials listed below.\n\nBS in electrical engineering from an ABET Accredited college or university required\n\n5+ years relevant work experience, including internship or cooperative program experience\n\nProfessional Engineer License (PE)\n\nRegistered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD)\n\nCertified Technology Specialist or Designer (CTS/CTS-D)\n\nPhysical Security Professional (PSP)\n\nSalary: We offer competitive salaries and bi-annual bonuses.
