Responsibilities in assisting with Planning, conducting and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective fashion.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Using prescribed method, performs specific and limited portion of a broader assignment of an experienced Engineer. Applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operation through a series of related detailed steps or processesDesigns and develops all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment and machinery based on given requirements and specificationsPrepare control system equipment specifications and review vendor drawingsPrepare Logic Diagrams, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Control System Architectures and data sheetsDevelops functional descriptions and control philosophies to communicate functionality and company developed programsDevelops basic software under supervision of a superior to support Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI)Selects instrumentation and automation hardwareRecommends changes for ineffective procedures, designs or specificationsPrepare procurement specifications, material requisitions and perform technical bid analysisApply knowledge of project change control process to identify potential changesMaintain Liaison with design and drafting groupsPrepares, review and approve drawings as requiredAdvise Project Engineer about status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, budget, delays and adverse problems.Assists with the development of manpower, man-hour, and labor costs requirements for a project and can monitor them to aid in evaluating budget limitationsTakes the lead on estimating tasks and performs material take-off for a specific disciplineEnsure quality, quantity and completeness of the assigned engineering tasks.Plan and schedule engineering efforts associated with assigned projectMaintain timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activitiesKeep proper engineering files and recordsDevelop understanding of industry codes and standardsMust be a team player: willing to continuously and proactively collaborate, share and seek information and guidance.Conduct and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing of various electrical and control component, such as PLC and Network Enclosures, E-Houses, Motor Control Centers and electrical and control components on mechanically packaged equipmentTest continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of systems, following installation, replacement or repairTroubleshoot, identify and isolate faultsConduct and assist in Star-Up and CommissioningTravel to site for start-up and commissioning of the projectPerform Electrical, Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Control duties and some mechanical duties such as set up, adjustment, calibration, tuning, trouble shootingTroubleshooting electrical controls, PLC programs, processor based program/diagnostic panels and relay logic controls in various manufacturing equipmentGather and maintain specific records of technical;
