This may include but is not limited to tire maintenance, fulfilling service calls for repair, conducting visual inspections of vehicles and related work as assigned. Performs work under minimal supervision. Handles more advanced issues and problems and may refer more complex issues to higher-level staff. All work is performed with a commitment to safety. May mentor or provide informal guidance to Technician I.\r\nTransdev is proud to offer\r\n\r\nCompetitive compensation package of minimum $18.00 - Maximum $22.00 / hour\r\n\r\nBenefits include\r\n\r\n\r\nVacation: minimum of two (2) weeks\r\n\r\n\r\nSick days: 5 days\r\n\r\n\r\nHolidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating\r\n\r\n\r\nOther standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.\r\n\r\n\r\nCompany paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement\r\n\r\n\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\n\r\n\r\nEnsure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic and advanced maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, check fluid levels, change fluids and filters and lubricate components.\r\n\r\n\r\nPerform mechanical repairs under moderate supervision including the repair of brakes and brake inspections, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches and other repairs.\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintain records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used. Ensure that work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain parts usage records and order repair parts from designated suppliers\r\n\r\n\r\nAssist Tech III with preventative maintenance (PM's), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usage\r\n\r\n\r\nRemove and replace engine, transmission and differential assemblies with Maintenance Technician III supervision.\r\n\r\n\r\nDiagnoses and performs accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair under moderate supervision.\r\n\r\n\r\nNotify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken\r\n\r\n\r\nEvaluates completed work prior to release and seeks approval where required\r\n\r\n\r\nAssist with road calls and emergency services as necessary\r\n\r\n\r\nAdhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures\r\n\r\n\r\nMoves vehicles safely between job and work area\r\n\r\n\r\nRepair and maintain all shop equipment\r\n\r\n\r\nCleans vehicles as requested or required\r\n\r\n\r\nOther responsibility as requested or required\r\n\r\n\r\nEducation\r\n\r\n\r\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred)\r\n\r\n\r\nClass B CDL with air brake endorsement (preferred)\r\n\r\n\r\nState inspection license (if required)\r\n\r\n\r\nASE Certification preferred.\r\n\r\n\r\nExperience\r\n\r\n\r\nIntermediate mechanical aptitude and 3 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred) or equivalent education and experience\r\n\r\n\r\nAdhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards\r\n\r\n\r\nValid driver's license\r\n\r\n\r\nIntermediate problem-solving ability\r\n\r\n\r\nIntermediate computer skills\r\n\r\n\r\nComfortable using hand tools\r\n\r\n\r\nStrong customer service skills and communication skills\r\n\r\n\r\nAbility to work independently as well as part of a team\r\n\r\n\r\nMaintain an organized shop and clean work environment\r\n\r\n\r\nRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job\r\n\r\n\r\nMaking sure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers\r\n\r\n\r\nPossess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintained in a clean and safe manner\r\n\r\n\r\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
