Looking for mechanically inclined individuals with familiarity of construction looking to build a career in a commercial/industrial setting. This role requires the individual to plan, lay-out, assemble, install and repair sheet metal parts, products and equipment, utilizing knowledge of working characteristics or metallic and non-metallic materials, machining and lay-out techniques.Job Responsibilities:Fabricate, assemble, install and repair sheet metal equipment products and structuresSelect gauge and type of sheet metal according to products being fabricated and knowledge of metalRead and interpret blueprints, sketches, or products specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabrication, assembling and installing sheet metal productsCoordinate assigned activitiesInterpret job orders as needed for area workInstall and direct installation of assemblies in building or work siteFollow all company policies and adhere to stringent safety regulationsWork within scheduled time frames and estimated hours for completion of jobQualifications: At least 18 years of ageCompletion of Pre-Employment Background Check, Drug Screen and Physical, Strength Assessment, and Safety Training for Construction TradeMinimal travel required within MichiganReliable transportation to and from workPunctualSelf-Starter/MotivatorEducation and/or Experience:High School Degree or EquivalentPrevious trades training is a plus but not requiredBasic math skillsAble to read tape measurePhysical Demands: Prolonged standing, climbing, bending, and kneelingThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsUse of sharp tools and power equipment in working conditionsSubject to variable weather conditions inside and outside of buildingWorking on uneven job terrain/job sitesManual dexterityGood hand-eye coordinationGood sense of balanceWork Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibrationThe employee is exposed to a variety of weather conditions (warm weather and wintery conditions)Must use safety equipment (PPE) where warranted.
