Mission, Vision, and Core Values (PSEL 1)\r\nAssists in leading, articulating, and maintaining a shared vision of high expectations for student learning, growth, and wellbeing.\r\nPromotes a school climate centered on equity, integrity, and social justice.\r\n\r\nEthics and Professional Norms (PSEL 2)\r\n\r\nModels ethical and professional behavior, treating all members of the school community with dignity, fairness, and respect.\r\nEnsures transparent communication, operational compliance, and confidentiality.\r\n\r\nEquity and Cultural Responsiveness (PSEL 3)\r\n\r\nAdvocates for equitable access to rigorous coursework, specialized services, and resources for all students.\r\nImplements culturally responsive restorative practices and positive behavior support systems (PBS/MTSS).\r\n\r\nCurriculum, Instruction, and Assessment (PSEL 4)\r\n\r\nConducts teacher evaluations and offers timely, actionable feedback to drive instruction.\r\nFacilitates Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to analyze assessment data, adjust instruction, and establish targeted student interventions.\r\n\r\nCommunity of Care and Support for Students (PSEL 5)\r\n\r\nOversees student attendance, climate initiatives, and discipline using restorative justice practices.\r\nCollaborates with counselors, behavioral health specialists, and support staff to address student socio-emotional needs.\r\n\r\nProfessional Capacity of School Personnel (PSEL 6 & 7)\r\n\r\nSupports high-quality, job-embedded professional development aligned with school and district goals.\r\nMentors new teachers and fosters a collaborative professional learning community.\r\n\r\nMeaningful Engagement of Families and Community (PSEL 8)\r\n\r\nBuilds partnerships with families, community groups, and business partners to enrich student learning.\r\nFacilitates school events, PTA meetings, and family engagement initiatives.\r\n\r\nOperations and Management (PSEL 9 & 10)\r\n\r\nAssists with daily operations, scheduling, facility safety, transportation, and crisis response plans.\r\nSupervises school-wide events, student arrival/dismissal, cafeteria, and extracurricular activities.\r\nPerforms other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or Superintendent.\r\nMinimum Qualifications\r\nEducation: Master ' s degree in Educational Leadership or School Administration from an accredited institution.\r\nCertification: Hold or be eligible for Delaware Department of Education certification as an Assistant Principal/Principal (14 Del. C. 1591) .\r\nExperience: Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably at the elementary level.
