PROJECT MANAGER

PROJECT MANAGER (Full Time) Position Summary The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the overall planning, management, and execution of assigned projects. The PM may be assigned one project, several projects, or select trade packages on large scale projects. The PM is totally responsible for performing each project successfully including scheduling, billing, and controlling direct job material and labor costs in order to generate profit. Skills and Competencies Project management Results driven Time management Proper knowledge of constructability Leadership Ability to make high quality decisions in a team environment Problem solving / analysis Financial management including cost control and budgeting Knowledge and understanding of management software including Timberline, Scheduling, and Excel Communication proficiency that is open, honest, respectful, and timely Duties and Responsibilities Project profit responsibility Project planning, procurement, and start-up Project execution and monitoring Project documentation Project billing Estimating and negotiating change orders Project close-out Building / maintaining Owner/Architecture relationships Feedback to estimating Marketing presentations Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position which will typically involve 50+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather, and emergencies at the job site. Travel The employee may travel extensively when the construction site is not close to the main office or when responsible for activities at two or more sites. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred Minimum of five years’ related experience in residential and/or institutional projects Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management Software
