If you have a passion for solving complex problems, making an immediate impact on a dynamic, and fast moving, product development team, we’d love to hear from you!\nWhat We Need:\nDFT is searching for a skilled and experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician that is responsible for assembling, installing, repairing, upgrading and testing electronic and computer-controlled mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will enjoy learning new things, be flexible in a fast-pace environment, and will build positive relationships with both internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have significant aptitude and help make the team around them better.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nPerform all aspects of electrical and mechanical assembly and testing of prototypes, box builds, cables, and other products and systems (assembly, cable and board soldering).\nWork closely with Electrical, Mechanical, and Test Engineers with all necessary testing, debugging, rework, and improvement of products, designs, and work instructions.\nCollaborate with team to drive continuous improvement in the department.\nPerform other production tasks as needed including kitting, inspecting, and preparing products for shipment.\nWorks from written procedures, schematics, blueprints, diagrams and / or visual work instructions.\nTroubleshoot and repair PCB’s, box builds, cables, etc.\nOther duties as assigned.\nRequired Skills/Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\n10+ years of relevant experience in electro-mechanical assembly.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).\nPrevious experience working with ERP systems.\nFamiliarity and experience using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, point-to-point continuity testers, and bridges.\nKnowledge and use of hand tools.\nKnowledge and experience of ESD best practices.\nCurrent or previous CERTIFICATION for soldering (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, etc.).\nMust be able to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperienced user of Microsoft Office suite.\nExcellent organizational skills to maintain flow of work within the unit.\nStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to interface with all levels of internal employees and to accurately document and report.\nPrevious LEAN training or certifications.\nWhat We Offer:\nSalary Range, $30/hr - $36/hr\nThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
