Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist located in Tampa, FL. The Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing and tracking patient accounts to ensure accurate and timely collection of outstanding payments. Daily tasks include debt collection, invoicing, reconciling accounts, and maintaining detailed financial records. The role also involves frequent communication with patients, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve billing inquiries and ensure compliance with payment policies. Qualifications Strong analytical skills to review, interpret, and resolve account discrepancies.Proficiency in finance-related tasks, including account reconciliation and invoicing.Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients, colleagues, and external parties in a professional manner.Proven experience in debt collection and following up on outstanding accounts receivable.High level of attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple accounts effectively.Familiarity with medical billing, coding, and insurance processes is a plus.Proficiency in using billing software and Microsoft Office applications.A high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
